How to Read a Book

I was a terrible reader growing up. My mom could barely get me to read two pages. I fell in love with reading in college, but let’s face it, I was still a terrible reader. I bought tons of books, and I wanted to read them, but it took me FOREVERand I struggled to retain the information.

Then, I read this book in June 2017. It changed me. And it will change how you approach reading.

  • Do you want to improve retention and mastery on a wide range of subjects?
  • Do you want to select the right books to read so you don’t waste time on bad books?
  • Do you want to grow your mind?
  • Do you want to research a topic deeply and master the literature on a particular issue?

If you answer yes to those questions, check out this classic by Mortimer J. Adler and Charles Van Doren!

Dr. Peter Kreeft of Boston College says every student entering college should be required to read this book before enrolling. Brandon Vogt (of ClaritasU) calls it a MUST READ.

The section on Inspectional Reading alone is worth the price of the book. You will learn how to select the best books on a topic, and to find books that answer the questions you are asking. Life is too short to waste time reading bad books!

Check out more reviews on Amazon and then buy the book. You won’t regret it!
